DOGO BIGGIE

ALBERT DEUSON, AKA DOGO BIGGIE, IS THE LAST BORN, IN A FAMILY OF TWO CHILDREN. BORN IN KISUMU IN 1998, HE LIVED WITH HIS MOTHER, WHO AT THE TIME WAS MARRIED TO A TANZANIAN. SHE HOWEVER DIED WHEN HE WAS 9 YEARS, AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS.
HIS FATHER LEFT FOR TANZANIA SHORTLY AFTER, LEAVING HIM UNDER THE CARE OF HIS ELDER BROTHER.  UNABLE TO FEND FOR THEM, DOGO HAD NO OPTION BUT TO GO TO THE STREETS TO FEND FOR HIMSELF.
YEARS LATER, AND DOGO FINALLY DECIDED TO GO TO TANZANIA TO LOOK FOR HIS FATHER.  HE TRIED TO TRACE HIM BUT HE WAS NO WHERE TO BE SEEN FORCING HIM TO START LIVING WITH HIS GRANDMOTHER, HELPING HER TO SELL PEANUTS FOR A LIVING. HE COULD NOT CONTINUE WITH HIS EDUCATION, AS HIS GRAND MOTHER COULD NOT AFFORD TO PAY HIS SCHOOL FEES.
IT WAS WHEN HE WAS SELLING PEANUTS IN DARESALAAM THAT HE REALISED HE HAD A SINGING TALENT BUT EFFORTS TO APPROACH REKNOWED MUSICIANS FAILED. FORCING HIM TO RETURN TO KENYA IN 2010.
A LOCAL TELEVISION STATION, CITIZEN TELEVISION, SPOTTED DOGO BIGGIE AND HIGHLIGHTED HIS HUMBLE LIFESTYLE IN KISUMU’S MAJENGO SLUMS AS WELL AS HIS AMBITIONS IN THEIR SWAHILI SEGMENT ‘MGAAGAA NA UPWA’ HOSTED BY REPORTER JOAB MWAURA (find link here) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WF1E1VhtZqo&playnext=1&list=PLEE0F24799B074816&feature=results_video AND HAS CONTINUED TO FOLLOW HIS RISING STAR THAT HAS SINCE SEEN HIM INTRODUCED TO GRAND PA RECORDS, MANAGED BY REFIGAH  HEAVY WEIGHT WHERE HE HAS SINCE RECORDED HIS FIRST SINGLE ‘MOYO WANGU’, WHICH IS NOW A HIT IN  NAIROBI.
